In addition to the Engineering Research & Development Center from which much company technology has been sourced to date, in September of 2020, the Engineering Service Center of ATOX (ESCA) was launched, it being positioned as the heart of the technical divisions responsible for supporting the firm’s total engineering strategy.

ESCA represents a new organization that was initiated so as to deliver total solutions to customers in the form of one-stop services, such encompassing everything from the design, operation, analysis, and construction of plant equipment, through to any subsequent decommissioning and removal. By consolidating our wealth of engineering knowledge and the extensive project management skills that the company has gained through more than 40 years of frontline experience in working at nuclear facilities, and by working closely in conjunction with the Engineering Research & Development Center, ATOX can provide high-quality engineering services whose flexibility is in accordance with customer needs.

Since its establishment in Kashiwa, Chiba, in August of 1988, our Engineering Research & Development Center has been at the core of our technical development, providing a wealth of engineering research & development, and support. Here, through the development of equipment, devices and construction methods, the provision of robotic and remote technical services, the provision of technical services that leverage our research facilities, and the development of human talent, we work on a daily basis on the decommisioning of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station and the development of new technologies required for the operation and decommissioning of nuclear power plants and other facilities.
