Concerning those areas of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station in which people work, the regular measurement of airborne radiation levels is conducted, and for confirmatory purposes, area monitoring is also undertaken. Regarding the measurement data thus obtained, it is published so that the general public can access it. Such represents an important metric by which the status of the work environment onsite can be confirmed. Furthermore, when items are transported offsite from the power station, there is the requirement in place that everything undergo screening so as to confirm its non-contaminated status, and that rule itself has been incorporated into our work processes.
Moreover, commencing with cleaning initiatives involving both areas within and beyond the power station’s premises, as well as those concerning local municipality facilities, etc., we undertake to carry out comprehensive building maintenance.
