Privacy policy

ATOX Co., Ltd., a company that offers services related to nuclear power plant maintenance and radioactive materials (hereinafter “the Company”) complies with all applicable laws and regulations concerning the protection of personal information and other related norms.
“Personal information” collected by the Company means any information that can be used to identify specific individuals, such as personal names, dates of birth, and residential addresses (including anything that enables identification of a specific person by easy reference to other information).

Basic Policy for Information Security

The Company clearly recognizes that any confidential information possessed by the Company and any customer-related confidential or personal information received from customers is an information asset that must be protected. For this purpose, the Company has established an Information Security Management System and it implements and continually improves the following measures to maintain the effectiveness of the Information Security Management System.

1. Establishment and maintenance of the Information Security Management System

To ensure that all employees who use the Company’s information assets (including full-time employees, contract employees, casual and part-time employees, and temporary employees) understand the purpose of and comply with the Basic Policy for Information Security, the Company has established an Information Security Management System along with an organizational environment and a risk management system to maintain the effectiveness of the Information Security Management System.

2. Specifying standards for security measures

The Company has formulated Information Security Management Rules that define the basic requirements and criteria for ensuring compliance with the Basic Policy for Information Security.

3. Compliance with other applicable laws and regulations

The Company complies with all confidentiality obligations stipulated by applicable laws and regulations and by contracts, and as and when needed, it institutes its own management standards to ensure that security is effectively maintained and managed. The Company also ensures that outside contractors comply with the Basic Policy for Information Security and with the Information Security Management Rules, by stipulating requirements in contracts. To ensure the protection of personal information, the Company has defined its own separate Personal Information Management Guidelines and it also adopts appropriate measures as and when necessary.

4. Setting up a promotion group and system

The Company has appointed a personal security manager and set up an Information Security Management Group and operation system, with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.

5. Training of employees

The Company has formulated and implemented a training plan for information security for the purpose of informing all employees of the Basic Policy for Information Security and the Information Security Management Rules and of raising their awareness of information security requirements.

Collection of Personal Information

The Company may collect personal information in any of the following contexts.

  • Inquiries
  • Applications for information or materials
  • Applications for full-time, volunteer, or part-time employment

Purpose of Using Personal Information

Personal information received from customers is used solely to the extent necessary for the following objectives:

  • To respond to and confirm inquiries
  • To deliver information relating to products or services

Disclosure of Personal Information to a Third Party

As a rule, no personal data of any customer obtained by the Company will be disclosed to any third party, except in one of the following circumstances.

  • If the customer consents to disclosure after being informed of the third party and the specific information.
  • If disclosure is formally requested and legally required of the Company by a court of law, police, or other public institution.

Management and Protection of Personal Information

The Company properly manages the collected personal information of customers and makes every effort to ensure that the information is not lost, destroyed, falsified, accessed without authorization, leaked, etc.

Disclosure, Correction and Deletion of Personal Information

The Company strives to keep personal information as accurate and up-to-date as possible.
Customers can request disclosure and deletion of personal information using the contact details below.
To prevent the leaking of personal information to a third party, the Company only responds to such requests after verifying the identify of the party making the request.

Revision of Personal Information Protection Guidelines

The Company reviews and revises this Privacy Policy (Personal Information Protection Guidelines) as and when it deems necessary.
The details of any revisions to our Privacy Policy will be promptly posted on the Company’s website.
